Denim was founded in 1976 as a male fragrance brand for those who want a distinct and long lasting fragrance.
The brand first launched its renowned Aftershave and Deodorant Body Spray in three variants – Original, Black & Musk.
Since then, the brand has continued to grow. Today, Denim boasts a complete personal care line, ranging from fragrances to shaving products, designed to empower men who are comfortable in their own skin.
Asepso™ Soap was first developed by the Edward Cook Company in London in the 19th century.
It was one of the very first antiseptic soaps invented that soon became synonymous with alleviating skin infections and reducing bacteria on the skin.
More importantly, with its growing popularity in tropical areas in the 1900s, it became known for the alleviation of the effects of prickly heat.
Over the decades, Asepso™ have become a prominent and trustworthy brand around the world. In the 1930s, Unilever acquired Asepso™ and continued its production in Port Sunlight, England. 70 years have passed, and Asepso™ continues to thrive as a trustworthy household brand. To this day, the brand stays true to its purpose as an effective antiseptic soap with unique properties that protect and cool the skin, striking a chord with those living in hot and humid climates.
Asepso was one of the most dominant soap brands in Nigeria a few generations ago and is now being relaunched with Daroc Distribution Ltd. There are three variants available in a 70gm size: Cool Sports, Herbal and Lemon.
BRUT was first launched in 1964. However, in 1973 the more familiar BRUT 33 was launched as everyday cologne.
BRUT products range from Aftershave, Eau de Toilette, Deodorant, Anti-perspirant, Shower gel and Gifting. The brand has continued to develop new fragrances that go on to become a must for men across Britain.
BRUT really came to prominence in the 1970s as a result of the famous ad campaign starring Henry (“Splash it all over”) Cooper and other famous sports stars of the time including Barry Sheene of motorcycle racing fame, David Hemery the athlete and Kevin (the hair-do) Keegan who happened to be pretty nifty with a football.
Impulse was originally launched in South Africa in 1972 as a ‘perfume deodorant’, the first product to combine fragrance with deodorant. In 1979 its popularity spread to the UK where it rapidly built up a 5% share of the deodorant market.
Since its launch, each Impulse variant has been founded on the brand’s core values of fragrance and romance – its slogan, “Men can’t help acting on Impulse” reaffirms the brand’s mission to inspire spontaneous, romantic gestures from men by helping women to smell and feel gorgeous.
